Hi,

Yes, adding some spun polyester batting in the enclosure behind the speakers will have the effect of reducing sympathetic vibrations from the storage box and also make the speakers work as if they were in a larger enclosure.

You can get the batting at any sewing or upholstery shop, or even at a PetCo because the exact same stuff is sold there as bulk filter media for aquariums for about $2. You place the batting behind the speakers and then enclose the bottom with some thick (I used 3 mil) plastic w/ the Glue Gun. This adds some (albeit minor) suspension to the speakers as well as containing the batting and keeping critters out. Here's a really bad pic from my 1MP digicam. Hope this helps...
