Hi,

Sorry for your trouble as I said. But, it's a fact of life these days that if you have something nice, expensive, rare, pretty, and such that if you leave it around in public, someone is gonna mess with it.

It is empowering for someone to mess with something they're not empowered to own (through economics, education, circumstance, or whatever) . Call it jealousy, envy, disdain for people like you, psychotic, whatever, it's still empowering - the fact that they can do it and get away with it. Obviously they're getting something from doing it whether it's revenge, satisfaction, relief, or whatever, or they wouldn't do it.

Don't misunderstand me, I'm not saying it's OK - it is WRONG! And there are many other people not empowered enough to own one who have the personal morals not to mess with, or vandalize, a nice car, but it seems they are increasingly in the minority.

Yea, it's wrong, it's frustrating, it can be expensive, and it's OK to vent about it here. But, it's a fact of life that a certain degree of risk of instances like these exists, and you have to accept that if you want to own the car.

Minimize the frequency by following the advice offered here and minimize the pain by keeping it well insured. That's about all you can do.

Happy Motoring!... Jim'99
