Hi,

Cosmetics isn't the only thing you should worry about, especially for Deep Curb Rash. The wheel can be cracked, out-of-round and/or unbalanced due to the loss of material. This can cause high speed shimmying, accelerated tire and suspension wear.

Light Rash can be fixed on a painted rim using a high metal content epoxy, sanding it and repainting the rim.

For anything else, it's best to have the wheel commercially repaired. This is usually about half of the cost of a new wheel, but the job's done right.
