Unfortunately, I have some bad news (for me at least). A woman with a large pickup truck backed up at high speed and slammed into my 2000 boxster s. Luckily, I was not in it, it was in the parking lot of a local grocery store. The impact knocked it backwards nearly 20' (thank god there was noone behind me). It looks like at the very least I need a new front bumper and a hood. But I don't think there is any frame damage...the car still drives straight and true and the top lines up perfectly when I close it. There is a huge dent in the hood and it doesn't close all the way and the front bumper is pretty dented and torn up. The lady took off, but I at least got her plate number and the police are tracking her down.

Anyway, I need a little advice on what to look for with respect to the repair process. My insurance company (USAA) of course wants
their shop to do it but said i could choose anyone as long as I paid the difference over the appraised damages. I am worried about a non-Porsche shop doing the work, getting the parts in a reasonably quick fashion and, especially, matching the paint (rainforest green). Any tips on what to pay especially close attention to? Are there any things I really need to look out for? I appreciate any help you can offer. Thanks.
