If done correctly, there shouldnt be any cons at all.
Granted, I have never inspected one up close to determine if there are
alot of gaskets and such that cannot be removed for painting and reinstalled.
It would take basically disassembling the top of any moldings or gaskets and prepping the surface. Once prepped, new color build primers would be sprayed followed by base coat and clear. I would think a shop would charge 12 to 16 hours labor for this and pricing at 45.00 per hour...average in my area would be 850.00 plus or minus a hundred...
Just go to a shop that has a good reputation and will warranty the job against clear coat failure etc.
