I personally hate the action of the short shift kits out there, they shorten the throw way too much and make it hard to engage the gears. The factory throw is long and ropey but at least I've never missed a shift.
I appreciate the advice but I've been there done that with cable positioning. We tried everying in the book but bottom line to several people the shift feel was pretty bad and unacceptable.
