I ended up installing the module from my S in the base model because I am trying to sell it. So the base is sorted, no airbag light.
I put the new module in the S and am still getting errors 23 and 25, as expected, but when I started the car I had no airbag warning light! "That's great" me thinks... then I rethought and realised that the airbag light was not coming on when the key is turned and all the warning light check is done. So I'll have to correct that and live with the airbag light till I replace or reprogram the module.
