That's a great idea! I have some metal mesh leftover from the front grille openings that I did that should work well for that. On that note:
And for the visor mount, a 6mm nutsert worked perfectly. I only managed to fish out a small piece of the broken nut, but with a bit of fiddling I was able to get the nutsert in and so far it's working great. A bit of peace of mind since the top/roof is held on by this piece.
Also, after the last track day I replaced my steering wheel. It was a "MOMO Prototipo" and I put that in quotes since I was suspicious that it was a knockoff. After the track day one of the spokes is noticably creased with a bend, so I put an old Sparco on that I had. I actually like it better, it was just dirty, but I cleaned it really well and conditioned it and it looks a lot better.
