Looks like the belt spring tensioner is very do-able. The steps are pull everything back apart (all the way up to the engine block oil-fill tube), and unbolt the tensioner from the power steering mount. Okie-dokie.
I'll do that along with a new belt while I'm in there for the oil tube anyways.
