Has your car thrown any codes? Upon examination do you recognize any parts absent a vacuum connection? Maybe a broken off plastic line that WAS connected to the tube? As a vacuum associated part... if you're not having any problems... I wouldn't worry about it.
A parts diagram would reveal what is the part number for whatever is meant to be plugged into that port. A wiser mind will chime in shortly. Good luck.
