Years ago a P-car fan was active in PCA and helped a bunch of people with various top installs, GAFF, OEM '03 to '99 etc. He documented some of them and and even discussed how to sew in a clear plastic window. These were done maybe 20 years ago so some of the picture sites have gone defunct. But they will at least give you an idea of the complexity of any approach you are considering.
