Congrats on your 2000 Boxster!

2000-2004 They are known for high failure rate of the single-row intermediate shaft (IMS) bearing. Keep on eye for metal particles in oil filter. Also, at your actual mileage I assume the chain tensioner pads are due for replacement. My 98’ had the same k miles as yours when I bought it and I noticed particles of plastic resins from guide pads in oil filter housing. I did replaced them on both sides of engine. I did the ims bearing replacement at 52k just to make sure I don’t have any unpleasant surprises later on.
If you can afford to buy a lift (Danmar-the one I have) it will save you lots of $$$ / and buy a Porsche Boxster repair manual too. Good-luck!
