Replaced the AOS (and inspected, replaced vac lines depending on condition). Did not do IMS. Spending $1900 for the fix on an engine that cost damn near that from the salvage yard didn't make financial sense to me. My memory is hazy but it was 80-90K mileage on the yard engine. Consensus from what I was seeing is that IMS failures were typically earlier, high mileage motors likely were fine.
If I pull for a clutch/something else in the next few years I may emotionally, stupidly drop big money for it.
