Hey all,
I’m stuck trying to fix the telescopic function on my steering wheel and could use some guidance.
The issue: I’m not entirely sure how the adjustment handle is supposed to engage or release the lock that controls the telescopic movement.
I’ve attached some photos for reference. From what I can see:
- The black rod with holes moves when I turn the handle under the steering wheel, but it doesn’t seem to engage or affect anything—it just rotates.
- I can push the handle in and out while holding it, but again, nothing happens beyond that motion.
I’ve tried using WD-40 with no luck, and I plan to test with some penetrating oil—but I’m honestly not sure what part I’m supposed to be oiling or adjusting.
Am I missing something obvious? Would really appreciate any tips from someone who’s tackled this before.
