where do you stop, eating, drinking (soda), make-up, radio, CD players, Ipods,and my all time favorite, smoking...all of these cause distractions of some sort. I'd rather see someone on a cell phone than munching on a Big Mac and fries....

Eating requires minimal cognitive abililty. Ditto drinking, smoking, radio listening. But communicating, listening, talking, analyzing distracts you from the road.
If you're in your Porsche, just enjoy the ride.
