I have side lights, dip and main beam headlights, standard sort of set up.

On side lights, I just get the little bulbs
On dip I get the side lights and dip headlights, again pretty much standard.

Now switching to main beam, I get the side lights, dip and main beam headlights, that I think is wrong? All other cars I have had switch between main beam and dip with the side lights only on with dip beam. It’s always been like this since I have owned the car and it hasn’t been raised at a service.

Using the headlamp flasher, just main beam comes on.

Is this correct or do I have a wiring fault/sticking relay? Or is there a setting I can adjust?
