I have a base Boxster -99 with the 2.5 litre engine and manual gearbox and although it's great fun to drive, I can't help but thinking that it would be absolutely perfect with around 100 more hp. I have come across a 3.4 litre engine from a Tiptronic 996 (-98). Would it be possible to put that engine in my car as described in my 101 Projects book? Or is the tip box wiring incorporated in the engine electronics?
