Recently bought a 2000 Boxster S (tiptronic), and have an issue I can't figure out. Whenever I am in 5th gear and am accelerating, around 3000 RPM I start hearing this noise, sounds almost like beeping, it is short and high pitch and repeats a few times and then stops. The car is in need of an alignment, which I am going to take care of this week, but besides that has no known problems. The car is at 98K miles. Does anyone have an idea of what this could possibly be? Thank you!
