I went 987 S gearbox in my first 986 S you need to swap the ends of the drive shafts over to keep the tone rings.

If I blow my 5 speed I'll be swapping to the 987 S again.
Thanks! I just read through that entire thing, super impressive and the first build’s fire was heart breaking. I need to add a fire system to mine stat and call my insurance company to make sure they would cover it with the all these modifications. The R8 front calipers you used are super tempting, there’s a set on eBay for $600 right now but it looks like the only rotor that would work is the 991 cup rotors that are $1400 pair. I wonder if the R8 rotor has the same spacing as the 991 rotor.
