Have you considered this stereo? I know you asked about double DIN units but I am considering this single DIN with a fold out screen and volume knob. It also seems to have basic functionality when the screen is closed: https://www.crutchfield.com/p_130AV3500/Pioneer-AVH-3500NEX.html
