Hi, I'm in Sarasota FL where its been raining for about a week until today. I mean a lot of rain, I've been pumping about 1000 gallons out of my pool every day just so it wont overflow. Anyway today = no rain so I went to drive the Porsche but had no reverse, wouldn't get into position. I put my foot on clutch & moved through the gears while still 1-6 positions were normal feeling, but the stick wouldn't go into reverse slot. I put in first & pulled a few feet forward (which is all I had room for) didn't feel like first, felt like third. I pushed the car down the driveway & onto the street to go for a drive, the first gear slot was definitely third, got up to 40 mph @ just ofer 2,000 rpm, came to a complete stop & tried reverse again, slid right into position & went backwards, then first & that was now right also. I then drove around 5-10 minutes & came back home, the car is acting perfectly normal now.

Does anyone have any idea what this may have been & is there anything I ought to check on?

Also my BMW is flooded with 3 inches of water in the drivers side rear, not a great weekend for Pauls cars.
