Yes, flushing would remove the old fluid in the reservoir. But the reservoir holds a fair amt of fluid. Why push all of it thru the lines to just bleed it out? By removing the screen, you can access the reservoir with a turkey baster and remove the old fluid. Replace with new fluid. Then all you have to bleed is the fluid in the lines.
