Ditto this/ I was waiting for a quality ignition switch to arrive by mail so I bought another one from a NAPA Auto Parts store and installed that one, figuring I would have the other one as a spare. Well, the NAPA one was a cheap one and made of very brittle plastic. It lasted about 6 months, vs the original which had lasted for 12 -13 years.

On those cheap hood struts, some are good and some not so good. I bought some cheap ones for my son's Jeep Commander. They were a real pain to put on because they were just slightly longer than the originals. Once installed, they were fine but the get them in took some fighting and swearing.
