You are on the right track, I have driven every 2000-2003 Porsche & I would not buy anything AWD unless I needed the extra traction & weight.
FYI the Tiptronic lowers H.P. & MPG about 10% but they are very reliable.
You will be glad you bought a Boxster S with the Tiptronic
