On the post-1997 cars that rubber hose connects to the top of the oil cooler (heat exchanger). If you look at the coolant tank, that hose is the top one directly under the oil filler.
YES! Thank you this is the other thing that has been completely stumping me (my last post was this very question. So I shouldn’t even need another line on my expansion tank.
