i paid a local shop to replace my transmission after it seemed to have gotten stuck in first gear. According to CarFax they "checked" transmission yet I was charged for a new transmission. It could just be bad info on CarFax but I'd like to know if there is a VIN stamped onto 5-speed Boxster transaxles so I can confirm, or not, that my trans was indeed changed.
