Yeah the holes must not be big enough. Did they at least drill the holes all the way through the pipes? As you can see what I did in the internal bypass thread, two holes each side around 1 inch. Then I used a chisel to connect each hole. I can definitely hear the difference in the car with the windows up. With them open and the top down, big difference. Under a bridge or in a tunnel it is pure GT3 mode. My wife says she can hear me coming down the street at 30mph. If I get on it people always look. So I would say the mod works if done right.
