Be very careful with brake cleaner

It is fine for bare metal parts away from your car. Brake cleaner is a very very aggressive petroleum solvent. I would never spray brake cleaner at a caliper mounted on a car....the solvent can cause havoc with electrical cables and sensors. It is not beyond conception that it could attack the seals in your wheel bearings and shorten the life of CV Boots..
