i think the term is 'subframe assembly". it's the big bit that connects the chassis, control arms, diagonals, and the aluminum brace. regardless of which one (left or right) you lift from, the car is rigid enough that the whole back end will come up. then, since you are not using the rear jack points, you can get a jack stand under them to keep things secure.
