Both of my 2000 Boxsters are originally from the US and the this works, though you may have to try a couple of times. Don't push the knob in when you turn. This should only change the digital speedometer and the odometer... the analog speedometer remains in MPH as far as I know. For someone in Canada who crosses the border fairly often this is kinda' cool because you don't have to fiddle with the knob for a short drive on the US side... like when I go down to Champlain NY to pick up a package of parts.
