I'd heard about the hot water trick before, but never tried it and I'll admit that I am quite shocked at the results! Granted it's not perfect, but it's heck of a lot better than it was...but I'm like you and the end result still isn't up to standards, but at least it's not a huge embarrassment to drive as it is now. Sorry and good job (words I don't think I've ever used in one sentence before, lol).
