Nice write-up. One question/comment: I recently saw something regarding coolant systems in newer cars that instructed NOT to use worm clamps and instead use the spring clamp. The reasoning was that the worm clamp does not apply equal pressure (as opposed to spring clamp) and can lead to premature failure of plastic at clamp points. I don't know how important this is in this particular application, but thought I would share. I wish I could quote where I saw this, but it was on some "master mechanic" portion of a program...perhaps MotorWeek.

EDIT: In an effort to provide more info, I Googled "worm clamp vs spring clamp" and found that this is a heavily debated issue...which I didn't know or mean to unleash. Apologies in advance.
