I have my own Craftsman torque wrench, bring it with me when I'm having wheels removed.
In all my trips to various small/chain tire shops, I don't think I have ever once been granted the no impact gun request.
I always have to break out the wrench from my trunk. "see this is what it looks like"...
and They always look at me funny like I told them I'm a vegan.
Including this weekend when I had my rear tires mounted and balanced.
By the way what is the proper torque? 96?
