I think it's kinda funny how US drivers seem to be baffled by rear for lights

Are they not common on US cars or something? They've always been present in the UK and Aus cars I've had.

There's only normally a single rear fog light (so someone behind you doesn't confuse them with brake lights) and it's on the drivers side.
