This is my train of thought at the moment. I'll switch the cracked hose and AOS as soon as they arrive in the post and see if that makes a difference.
If it doesn't, the car needs a new clutch anyway, so it will be a full RMS + IMS seal + IMS bearing job while the transmission is out.
& no idea how I managed that! I'll ask a mod to move this into Boxster discussion.
