How cold is "bloody cold?" What maintenance do you need to do that can't wait til warmer weather? You could use a space heater to warm it up to get it into service position, probably wouldn't work too well to get it out of service position, tho. To get it warm after you're done, open the garage door, start it up and run it to op. temp, then use a fan to blow the warm air into the area of the rear window.
