That awfully sounds like your ignition switch (key/barrel) have started playing funny on ya. This assembly is prone to failure and often cause contact issue as you've described. No idea what causes the failure (don't care) and whether it can be repair or not. Folks normally replace this part all together and those weird contact problem(s) often disappear.
