Considering you already own a 986 S you'll be pretty disappointed with any pre 2012 base model.
IMO the change between your car and an 08 car doesn't justify the price difference and would be better spent moving into a low mile 03 or 04 986 S with Ims replaced.
Or. If the styling speaks to you. An 09 S.
