Affordable yea. Kit needs a noise and EMI proof enclosure though. Pretty crazy logic in there :/ e.g. change that light PP for a sealed alloy enclosure and voila, potentially a good product (if done properly).
Changing the system is the way to go I've read a few times on RL. You could get some pretty true sound with the latest gears out there, not THAT expansive (good wires are though). Your speakers are half decent, so you got this advantage
