Sounds like your mechanic did a good repair, BUT the cause MAY have been a leaking fuel injector washing oil from the cylinder wall causing the piston to crack. Recommend you remove the fuel injectors & have them pressure cleaned & tested before reinstalling, or the problem may happen again.
