Thanks for the lead and great write up! I hate to be so thick but you mention in your second post...

9. Now al that is left to remove the seat back from the seat rail. Remove the plastic retainer from the decorative plastic side piece on the outside edge of the seat (side with controls). The decorative plastic piece just unclips after the retainer is removed.

I still cannot for the life of me see a retainer to remove on this piece. It simple looks like a flat plastic cover that would pop into a couple of holes. Is the retainer underneath it somewhere?
