Do you all think these will fit without rubbing the strut?

Thanks very much.
The OEM front size for Boxsters in 17 is 17x7 ET 55 so that is an exact match

The OEM rear 17 for Boxsters is 17x8.5 ET 48 or ET 50 (All I have ever seen is 50)

Your new wheel is 17x9 ET 55, so according to this wheel offset calculator:

Wheel Offset Calculator | 1010Tires.com Discount Online Tire and Wheel Store

The 17x9 ET 55 has 11mm less inner clearance than a 17x8.5 ET 50 wheel
The 17x9 ET 55 wheel has 9mm less inner clearance than a 17x8.5 ET 48 wheel

Let's look at some of the other approved sized for 986 Boxsters, there is also the 18x9 ET 52 wheel that is OEM with some Boxsters, the 17x9 ET 55 wheel compared to this has only 3 mm less inner clearance. The extra inch of diameter may give some more clearance, but I think you may be all right, and maybe would want a 3 MM or other small spacer.

This is a timely question because I am looking for a pair of the Carrera 2 twists 996.362.128.00 in 17x9 ET 55 that came on some 996s because I want to run them in the back and run a pair of 17x8.5 ET 50 in the front. Let us know how it fits!

I have got some 5 mm 5x130 aluminum spacers from eBay, but no extended bolts, but I think there is a set of OEM Porsche 5 MM spacers with bolts on RL for sale right now, you might want to grab some on the cheap in case you do need a little extra spacer when you go to run those wheels.

From other threads on here, I think you will be OK without a spacer.

Steve

PS Did you get the set of wheels with tires that came with an extra used back tire? If so I have 3 other NT-01 (I corded the 4th), I would make you a super deal if you wanted my 3 tires to make a 2nd set, or maybe I could trade you something or outright buy that shaved back tire?

Edit: here is a link to a thread running that size in the rear:
http://986forum.com/forums/intro-porsche-boxster/13196-996-wheels.html

Says he has less than a finger width of thickness between the strut, so it sounds like it did fit But it was close.
