I have both. And prefer the Miata. I agree for highway driving the Boxster is better. But for handling and connectivity the Miata, in my opinion, is far superior. Driving the boxster in comparison feels like a GT car. To be fair my '99 miata has a good set of coilovers, which definitely improves the car.
