LN Engineering makes a very stout skidplate, I have one, in the back it mounts to the two frontmost bolts of the sheetmetal brace, and in the front it sandwiches between the shoulder of the two lower bolts that hold the engine mount on the engine side. The skid plate has slots there, and in the event of a hard strike it might slide up, don't know if that would change the clamping force of those bolts or not (if indeed it could move)
