Who can repair cracked head?
Hey everyone, I'm in the middle of a tear down on a 2001 Boxster S with intermix. Found the standard issue crack on cyl 1 of the head. I've read a ton of things online about people having the head repaired. Is there a list of shops that have done this repair? I'm just trying to see who can do this and what is a reasonable cost? I saw one post from years ago that referenced Costa Mesa R&D and they mentioned about $500 to fix. I just called them today and they are now about $1500. Just trying to see who and how much... I was ok with $500, but $1500 might make me take a different direction. Thanks!
