I was a GI in Bad Kreuznach, Germany in the late 80s driving a BMW 1802, then a 535i in Ansbach from '98 to '01. Great cars, but I love my 986s more. My wife and I enjoyed lots of long drives through the countryside on the weekends. The area around Gößweinstein and Pottenstein was a favorite destination for scenic hikes. I hope to get back there for a visit some day - and rent a Porsche for the trip.  |
