No, the height of the stick stays the same since the Swift Shift kit attaches to the bottom of the stock shifter. It get's it's mechanical advantage by lengthening the lower part of the shift arm below the fulcrum point. They use a heim joint and replace the stock nylon guides with needle bearings encased in an aluminum housing to provide a much more precise feel.
