 But always disconnect the car battery before doing any work on the passengers airbag – disconnecting and connecting. That is very important. Also remove the key from the ignition lock.
 
 If the airbag isn't present you'll get a warning light in the dash. Also you'll get an DTC which can be erased later on via Durametric.

I disconnect the battery for about 1/2 an hour before touching the airbag connections or removing the seats.  Don't want that thing to go off in my face while I'm working on it.  Thanks!
