Writing here as a gearhead with over 50 years of sporty car experience, and literally dozens of cars over that time span, I conclude that the Boxster S is the all-around winner. That said, there are cars that are equally satisfying for a few criteria, but not in the aggregate. Examples in that category include the Austin Healey 3000, supercharged Miata, 6-speed C5 Corvette roadster and Fiat Dino 206 Spyder.
