I don't think something in that price range is going to generate enough heat. I've had a couple they just don't have the wattage. Recently I have used a handheld steamer from Amazon (the one that looks like a blue ball) which I think cost about that much but you can't really use it for more than five minutes at a time before you have to put more water in it. It might be able to do the job, or it might just make a big soggy mess. The professional detailers use this thing called the Tornado Cleaning Gun. It has an articulating cable that pushes against the carpet fibers and separates all the dirt and muck. It would make quick work of any mold. I would see if there is a high end detailer in your area that uses one of these.
